چکیده

Automatic in-field fruit recognition techniques can be used to estimate number, size, skin color, and yield in crops. Fruit color size represent two of the most important quality parameters stone ( Prunus sp.). This study aimed evaluate reliability a commercial mobile platform, sensors, artificial intelligence software system for fast estimates peach persica ), nectarine P. var. nucipersica plum salicina apricot armeniaca assess their spatial temporal variability. An initial calibration was needed obtain absolute number per tree forecasted yield. However, technology also produce relative density maps orchards. prediction accuracy ?90% all crops training systems under study. Overall, predictions two-dimensional were slightly more accurate. Estimates diameter (FD) did not need an calibration. The FD had percent standard errors <10% root mean square error <5 mm different systems, row spacing, crops, position within canopy. Hue angle, attribute previously associated with maturity nectarine, that best predicted by platform. A new parameter—color development index (CDI), ranging from 0 1—was derived hue angle. adoption CDI, which represents progression or distance green, improved interpretation measurements end-users as opposed angle generated robust estimations turn purple when ripe, such dark plum. Cultivar and fruit size influence bruise susceptibility and some physical properties of apple fruit

ABSTRACT- For most fruit types, including apples, bruising is the most common type of postharvest mechanical injury. Bruise susceptibility was investigated in 3 commercial cultivars (‘JazzTM’, ‘Granny Smith’ and ‘Fuji’) and among a range of 4 different fruit sizes (commercial counts of 135, 120, 100, and 88) in each cultivar. Bruising was carried out by dropping a uniform round steel ball (110g...

Soil Acidity and Liming in Tropical Fruit Orchards

Based on these figures, it is no exaggeration to say that more than one-third of the Brazilian annual wealth is supported by a single natural resource: the soil. This justifies the impor‐ tance of studies on how to preserve and improve this valuable resource. According to [2], soils have natural limits to their ability to nourish plants and sustain crop productivity. The degradation of soil qua...

Effect of Preharvest Factors and Bruising in Stone Fruit Decay

In troduct ion The fruit skin (cuticle and epidermis) provides barrier protection against infection by pathogens. Most fungi are unable to penetrate healthy fruit skin and must enter through wounds. Fruit resistance to infection resulting from the biochemical action of tissues is not the result of a single compound or a single mechanism. Multiple systems with complex interactions may be involve...
